Welcome to Zimbris Kennels!

Zimbris Kennels aims to breed and promote the Working German Shepherd dog. We strongly believe that the German Shepherd should be primarily a working dog, following the motto of Cpt. Max v Stephanitz, the breed founder.

In our breeding programs we aim to select the dogs based on the criteria once used in the Eastern Europe up until the 90’s; that is health, hardness, sharpness and strength. We hope that this web-site will offer information about the working line of German Shepherd dogs to those who love and breed these dogs, as well as help make this selection type grow, because we believe that is the way to help save and preserve the working abilities of our dogs. Selecting dogs that will suit the different types of service such as police, army and other services, we believe we can continue the dream of Max V Stephanitz, who first of all wanted to create a “soldier” type of dog, able to be used by authorities and common citizens. Let’s not forget that the breed founder himself was an army officer.
